How GasWatch handles your information.

Information we collect

We may collect account information such as your name, email address, phone number, role, and profile details. For customers, we collect gas profile information such as cylinder size, refill date, household size, burner count, cooking pattern, refill orders, delivery address, and gas level updates. For vendors and riders, we collect business details, payout account details, inventory, rider assignment, delivery progress, and verification documents where required.

We also collect order messages, payment references, transaction history, approximate or precise delivery location where permission is granted, push notification tokens, and technical data needed to keep the service secure and reliable.

How we use information

We use information to create and secure accounts, verify email sign-in, estimate gas usage, process refill orders, display vendor options, send order and low-gas notifications, support in-app chat, track deliveries, prevent abuse, improve GasWatch intelligence, and provide customer support.

Payments

Payments are processed through Paystack. GasWatch stores payment references, order totals, payout status, and related transaction records, but we do not store full card numbers or card security codes.

Location

Location is used to confirm whether a customer is within the current Abuja service area and to show rider-to-customer delivery tracking when an order is active. Users can control location permission through their device settings.

Notifications

GasWatch may send push notifications and email messages for sign-in verification, low-gas alerts, usage reports, order updates, vendor messages, payout updates, and important account notices.

Sharing

We share information only as needed to operate GasWatch, including with verified vendors, riders, payment processors, email providers, cloud hosting providers, analytics or security tools, and regulators or law enforcement where legally required. We do not sell personal information.

Data retention

We keep information for as long as needed to provide the service, maintain transaction records, comply with legal obligations, prevent fraud, resolve disputes, and improve gas usage predictions.

Your choices

You may update account information in the app, disable notifications or location permissions on your device, and request account or data deletion by contacting GasWatch support.
